To all members of the MHS family:

We want to let you know about an emergency we're facing. Five weeks ago, MHS was asked by the State of New Hampshire to provide care for 53 animals -- 52 Labrador Retrievers and one cat -- that were rescued as part of a law enforcement action. The medical care, boarding, exercise, and socialization of such a large number of animals has made it impossible for MHS to serve our region as we normally do.

We don't know how much longer we will need to provide this intense level of care. We have asked to foster the dogs out and are waiting for word from the court as to when, or if, we will be able to do that. Media links are provided below that will give you a general overview of what we're facing, and more details will be posted on this page next week.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and loyal support during this challenging time. You are our heroes!
