Sunday, June 4 was a great day to run the Well School 5K and Peterborough turned out for the occasion. The Well School 5K is more than just a run—families waiting for their runner were treated to a variety of vendors at the Wellness Expo. The day kicks off with a Kid’s Fun Run that allows young runners to show off their speed and stamina.  Monadnock Humane Society was thrilled to have the opportunity to share some Therapy Dogs with the crowd.

This year, MHS was honored to be the beneficiary of the event. That $3500 donation will make a huge impact for the animals we care for. Each year, MHS cares for over 1,400 animals providing shelter, food, and medical care while these animals wait for their new families. MHS receives no federal or state funding; it is supported entirely by donations from private individuals and events such as The Well School 5K Run.
