Court-Ordered Community Service
MHS welcomes court-ordered volunteers. Becoming an MHS Volunteer takes time, since you must attend Volunteer Orientation before you start helping here. Please contact the MHS' Volunteer Coordinator well in advance of your deadline. We cannot provide COCS opportunities on a “walk-in” basis.
You must schedule and attend a Volunteer Orientation.
Please note: MHS reserves the right to refuse court-ordered volunteers. Reason for required hours must NOT pertain to the following:
- Theft or theft related offenses
- Violent offenses such as assault and criminal threatening
- Animal Abuse
- Sexual Offense
Court ordered community service volunteers will be placed in one of the following areas: Facilities Maintenance (yards, sweeping, mowing) or Shelter Maintenance (laundry/dishes, cleaning, mopping.)
Court ordered community service volunteers will not provide direct care to the animals. Despite that, your work will have a direct impact on our overall ability to care for the homeless animals of the Monadnock Region.
Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, at 352-9011, ext. 147 or email@example.com to explore Court Ordered Community Service opportunities at Monadnock Humane Society.
