Ahoy! Meet Pirate and Musket, two spunky male rats ready to find their furever homes! These one-year-old boys are technically senior rats, but don’t let their age fool you—they’re in fantastic health and full of energy! Pirate is a feisty little adventurer. While he’s all about treasure (especially food), he can be a bit food-aggressive and is still learning his table manners. He’ll need a patient adopter willing to work on his socialization! Pirate loves to chew on toys, so he’ll keep himself entertained with the right setup! Musket is the social butterfly of the duo! Friendly and curious, he’s always up for supervised playtime. He’s more laid-back than Pirate, making him an easier fit for someone new to rats or looking for a cuddly companion.Though these two have lived together, their dynamic works best when they have separate cages to call home—overstimulated play can sometimes lead to squabbles! With supervision, they enjoy playing together before retreating to their personal spaces for some R&R! Both Pirate and Musket are big fans of strawberries and yogurt bites, so have those treats ready to win their hearts! And don’t forget chew toys—they love to stay busy gnawing away. Whether you’re interested in adopting Pirate, Musket, or both, these quirky boys are sure to add charm and joy to your life.
