Meet Lola!
Lola is a 5-year-old German Shepherd who’s been through a lot and is starting to find her footing with the right support. She came to us with significant hair loss and skin inflammation, and she’s on the mend now — she loves to show off her new, fuzzy, puppy coat!
Lola is a sensitive, thoughtful dog who didn’t have many life experiences early on, so new things can feel overwhelming to her. With training and patience she’s learning calmer ways to handle the world around her—like choosing to move away from something scary instead of reacting. She’ll benefit from a home that understands she’ll likely need ongoing behavioral support and is committed to continuing her progress.
Once she feels safe, Lola’s playful and bright personality really shines through. She loves to play fetch, happily drops the ball for you, and already knows cues like sit and shake. Because she can be reactive and hasn’t had much positive experience with other animals, Lola may best suited as the only pet in the home. We believe that she could be a good fit for homes with children, with proper introductions. With the right family, she has so much potential to keep growing into a loyal, fun, and deeply bonded companion.
