Mickie
4 years old, female mixed-breed

Mickie is a sweet, 4-year-old, approximately 35-pound mixed-breed girl who loves the company of people. She would also likely do best with a similarly sized, dog-savvy canine companion, and MHS can help determine whether your current dog would be a good match.

Mickie has learned to wear a leash and harness with pride, enjoying many walks with staff and volunteers. She welcomes and even leans into affection, especially chin and neck scratches, and it has been wonderful to watch her confidence grow.

As Mickie continues to settle in, her social personality is really beginning to shine. She definitely prefers the company of people, and will do best in a home that can minimize time she spends alone. She’d likely benefit from dog sitters, doggie daycare, and taking field trips with you!
