Pet of the Week

Aspen is a lab mix with a big heart and a playful spirit! Aspen came into the shelter with his
sister Maize, who has since been adopted. He is energetic and intelligent and thrives on
enrichment and regular exercise to keep both his mind and body happy. After taking a little time
to settle in, Aspen has truly come out of his shell. He is a fun and affectionate boy who loves to
play, make you laugh, and snuggle up by your side. He walks great on a leash and always
enjoys going out for a walk. Aspen soaks up pets and does the biggest stretches.
While Aspen can be selective with other dogs, he may do well with the right companion. He
would also prefer a home without cats. He has been around children before, but because of his
sensitive nature, he would do best in a calm home with teens or gentle kids. With patience,
understanding, and a loving environment, Aspen is sure to blossom into the devoted companion
he is meant to be. He is ready to find a family who will give him a chance to shine!
