Pet of the Week

Meow! My name is Cherry, and I’m a 2-year-old domestic shorthair cat with a heart full of adventure and a spirit as strong as the Florida sunshine where I used to live! I’ve had quite a journey to get here. Back in Florida, I spent a lot of time getting to know my foster parent. It took me months to build a special bond with them because I’m a cat who likes to take her time. But then, I had to travel a long way to my new foster home, and it was tough on me. I lost some of the progress I made, but I’m not giving up! Now, I’m showing everyone my true “spirit cat” nature. I’m a bit of a night owl—I love to explore when everything is quiet and peaceful. During the day, I’m pretty independent. I like to do things my own way and have my own space and things. I can be cat selective so it would be best for me to be the only felinel in the home! Some might say I’m a bit of a character because I like to guard my stuff! I’m looking for a calm and patient home where I can just be myself!  With the right environment and lots of love, I know I can become a really loving and loyal friend.
