Monadnock Humane Society Appoints Jacques Du Preez as Director of Development and Marketing

Swanzey, NH — Monadnock Humane Society (MHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Du Preez in the newly created role of Director of Development and Marketing. He brings over 20 years of experience in business development and marketing, and has worked within the nonprofit sector exclusively since 2016. Jacques has worked in both development and marketing communications which includes collaborating with individuals, businesses, foundations, government agencies, and nonprofit partners.

Jacques comes to MHS from his position at the Essex County Habitat for Humanity in Massachusetts, serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications. He also worked as a consultant in marketing, fundraising, and development for the High Country Humane Society in Arizona. Prior to that, he was the Marketing and Donor Database Manager at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society in California and also was the Digital Marketing Manager and Donor Relations Manager for Second Chance Center for Animals in Arizona. In addition, he founded ROOISPRESSO, The Organic Rooibos Tea Company, and launched multiple brands of the product both nationally and internationally. 

Executive Director, Kathy Collinsworth said, “Having someone with Jacques’ experience and talent is exactly what MHS needs at this time.  Our newly created Strategic Plan (which will soon be available to the public) includes a core focus on the marketing communications and development work that will be needed to support the new programs and services we will be bringing to the community.” She added that, “Jacques also comes to the table with a strong background in technology, which will play a significant role in the success of this Plan and the future of the organization. We couldn’t be happier or more excited to have him join our team!”  

In this new role, Jacques will be overseeing all marketing, communications, community relations, fundraising and development for the organization, and is excited about combining his passion for animal welfare and helping people.  Jacques said, “I believe through education and community engagement, we can work together to help future generations understand the importance of making our world a better place for people and the animals we have been tasked to protect.” 

Jacques studied Marketing and Business Management, and is also certified in Creative Conferencing and Event Management from Damelin College in Cape Town, South Africa.  He lives in Orange, MA with his wife, daughter, two dogs, three cats, eight chickens and a gecko.
