Paws to Read at MHS

Paws to Read

Practice reading in the company of a dog! Our clever, well-trained, friendly dogs love to listen to a good story.

Cuddle with a Collie; talk with a Terrier; learn with a Labrador, or have a heart-to-heart with a Husky. Don’t worry, Mom. These dogs hold advanced degrees in Meeting & Greeting. Our program is staffed with registered therapy dog teams. Our dogs are non-judgmental listeners. They are tested and insured, so we can promise your child a safe and fun reading session.

This program is free of charge and no registration is required. Each child will have 15 minutes to read with the dog. Bring your own book or read one of ours. A donation to Monadnock Humane Society, whether in cash or in items on their wish list, would be appreciated.
