Monadnock Humane Society will be holding a Spring Celebration and its Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Guinane Training Center. The first half of the event (the Spring Celebration) will begin at 2:00. Refreshments will be served, including delicious home-baked desserts and cookies provided by the Country Life Restaurant of Keene.
Live music entertainment will be provided by local band, Santa Croce. Santa Croce is made up of six brothers and sisters ranging in age from 13-25 with huge harmony, indie-folk instrumentation and a knack for writing modern and unique songs, dedicated to spreading positive energy and fun! Santa Croce was signed by Sony/Red music and has come off a Nashville-made music video trip. www.santacroceband.com.
The second half of the event will start at 3:00 pm. It will begin with an Awards Ceremony, honoring three individuals – Compassionate Citizen of the Year, Outstanding MHS Employee, and Outstanding MHS Volunteer. The Outstanding MHS Volunteer of the Year and the Outstanding MHS Employee of the Year will be nominated by the MHS Volunteers, Board of Directors, and Staff. The MHS Compassionate Citizen of the Year will be given to a person in our community, and nominations are accepted from anyone in the Monadnock Region. The Annual Meeting will follow the Awards Ceremony with special guest speaker, MHS Transition Leader Joe Olsen. The meeting will continue with the election and re-election of board members.
All events are free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Plenty of parking.
