“It feels good to volunteer at MHS!” — Colleen

By Laurie Phillips

Colleen wanted to help the community, and to meet new people when she relocated to the Monadnock Region. She asked her friends for ideas for volunteering, and they all directed her to MHS because they knew how much she loved animals, and that it would be rewarding and fun. She would meet new people and find community connections, too.
She tells us that it’s all come true, and more. She never thought she could feel so good about giving of her time to MHS, and how that time has truly helped homeless animals find their way to their forever families.
Colleen tells us – “I wish I could take them all home – but since that’s not possible, I can help them find their way home, and give them love, care and affection while they wait. It makes me feel so good to know I’m helping them in this way!”
