The MHS Hair Ball @ Home virtual event chosen as one of five finalists for the “Most Compelling Livestream Event” in the 2020 Givebutter Toasty Awards

Swanzey, NH — Monadnock Humane Society was chosen as 1 of 5 organizations whose virtual fundraisers were hand-selected from more than 30,000 campaigns on Givebutter, an online fundraising portal, in 2020. The category is “Most Compelling Livestream Event.”  The Toasty Awards, Givebutter’s first digital celebration of excellence and innovation in online fundraising, announced the finalists for the awards program last week. On Thursday, February 11th at 5 pm EST, the winners in 5 categories will be announced.

Kathy Collinsworth, MHS executive director said that “Each campaign’s story is awe-inspiring, so we are truly honored by this nomination.  It’s been great to partner with Givebutter, a platform that is designed for virtual events and is very easy to use.” Collinsworth said that MHS saw notable increases in donations for several 2020 fundraising events (most recently, Giving Tuesday, an international day of fundraising where MHS saw a 300% increase in giving). “Despite the challenges of the pandemic and changing the format of our in-person events, MHS was able to get creative with video presentations. We’re thankful to have a tool like Givebutter to help us make that transition smoothly, and give us a whole new way to reach our constituents as we get through the pandemic and beyond.”

Kelly Brigham-Steiner, MHS development director added that “This has been so significant to a non-profit like ours during these difficult times. We feel we were able to maintain and increase revenue that we might have lost otherwise. The ability to live stream makes such a difference in connecting the donor to really experiencing our work. Regardless of whether we win the award, we are honored to be nominated!”

MHS invites the public to register for free and join us live for the Toasty Award Ceremony on Thursday, February 11th at 5pm EST to see if we won. Register at: www.toastyawards.com
