MHS Animal Safety Net Program
MHS provides free boarding and medical care to the pets of community members who are fleeing domestic violence, are homeless, or are entering a drug, mental health, and/or medical treatment program or experiencing an emergency resulting from natural disaster.

When you observe cruelty to animals in our community, MHS has a humane agent who is available to help. MHS also has a special anti-cruelty fund that assists with the care of pets in cruelty cases.

MHS serves animals brought in by law enforcement, Animal Control Officers (ACOs), or community members. We care for these animals until an owner reclaims their pet, or we find good homes for unclaimed animals.

Pet Boarding
Bring your pet to our award-winning beautiful facility where trained animal professionals care for pets while owners are away.
Dog Daycare
Dog Daycare gives dogs an opportunity to socialize and play while owners are away for the day.
Puppy Playschool
Offering pups between the ages of eight weeks and four months an opportunity to have plenty of socialization, training and fun while owners are away for the day.
Dog Training and Behavioral Assessments
Certified professional dog trainers help owners train their dog from the basics of obedience and manners to agility and rally obedience in a spacious 60’ x 70’ indoor training area.
Dog Grooming
Affordable, professional grooming services for pets who are staying with us in Boarding/Daycare, or by appointment. Services range from nail trim to shampoo/cut/style.
Community Pet Health Clinics
Vital medical care services available to our community at rates that are affordable to income eligible individuals.
Public Walking Trails and Fenced Run
MHS offers the community a beautiful place to walk (with or without your dog) on miles of well-maintained trails that wind through fields and wooded areas on our 90 acres of land. A map is available at our Adoption Center or online. Also, bring your dog for safe and enjoyable exercise in our public run, located in back of our main building.
